This painting evokes the feeling I get as I gaze out at the
lake past the sand and the dunes to the water. The grasses are blowing and I
hear the sound of the wind and the waves as I stand by the water’s edge. I
painted this lakeview in the studio from a photograph taken while traveling. It
is painted with oil paints using brushes and a palette knife.
